ACTS stands for Adoration and the call by, acceptance of, and our response to God; Community—our love and caring of each other; Theology—the study of God through scripture and the Catholic Faith; Service—to God and His people.
The ACTS retreat weekend was brought to the Parish of Christ the King in 2012, and since then, more than 650 parishioners have attended. The retreat is presented by lay Catholics who are fellow parishioners of the Parish of Christ the King, with the support of the pastor. The goals for the weekend are to provide opportunities for the retreatants to strengthen their faith, experience spiritual renewal, deepen their prayer life, and build strong, lasting friendships within the parish community. The guides for the retreat are the Holy Scripture and the teachings of the Roman Catholic Church.
People have credited ACTS with saving their lives, saving their marriages, convincing them to be ordained as priests or deacons, or leading them to the religious life simply by opening their eyes and their hearts to God's word. It has reinvigorated the spiritual lives of individuals, of families, of entire parishes.

Each Sunday, our beautiful Madonna & Child statue will visit the home of a CTK parishioner and stay for one week. Each day, while hosting the statue, please pray a Rosary or a decade of the Rosary for, 1.) peace, 2.) personal intentions, 3.) our priests & parishioners, and 4.) vocations.
How it will work:
Mary will make her way around our parish on a volunteer basis—simply pick the week you want to bring her into your home.
The designated “hand-off” location is the vestibule of our chapel. We ask that Mary, in her traveling bag, be returned before the Saturday 5 p.m. Mass so the next person/family can pick her up when attending any weekend Mass.
There will be a check-in/ check-out sheet on the counter in the Chapel vestibule which you will sign when bringing back or picking up the visiting Mary statue. There will also be a guest book inside the carrying case for you to use in writing your last name, dates of your prayer time and any personal prayer intentions and/ or thanksgiving stories.
Mary wants to bring us closer to her Son, Jesus, our Lord and Savior, and through this ministry, we can!
