“With a tenderness which never disappoints, but is always capable of restoring our joy, he makes it possible for us to lift up our heads and to start anew. Let us not flee from the resurrection of Jesus, let us never give up, come what will. May nothing inspire more than his life, which impels us onwards!” (Evangelii Gaudium, 3)
Join Fr. Elkin as he prepares our hearts and minds for Lent at our one-night-only parish mission on Wednesday, Feb. 7. Father will share how we can all draw near to the Lord so that He–and He alone–can restore our joy and help us start anew. Drawing on His life and tender love for us, we will enter into the Gospel through scripture as we are each called to pray, fast, and give this Lent.
6 p.m. | Dinner in Fletcher Hall
7-7:45 p.m. | Talk by Fr. Elkin in the church
7:45-8:30 p.m. | Eucharistic Adoration with confessions + praise and worship (we will have several priests and all confessionals available)
Childcare will be provided in the ECDC beginning at 6:30 p.m. Families are encouraged to bring their children to Fletcher Hall for dinner first as we gather to share a meal together as a parish community.
