Our healing ministries serve as spaces for parishioners to heal through the power of Christ. Through sharing life experiences with peers in confidential settings, these small groups serve the human needs of our parishioners.

In the New Testament, widows flourished in their ministry as they drew closer to Christ and to Christ’s people. This ministry provides widows of our parish an opportunity for fellowship, mentorship, and Bible study while drawing inspiration from the lives of widowed saints.
This ministry allows widowers (men) to realize they are not alone. The group will serve as an appropriate avenue for expressing emotions, provide information on dealing with grief and loss, and serve as a place to gain hope and reduce distress. Additionally, the ministry will provide camaraderie and friendship as members will be invited to social outings in the Tulsa area, opportunities to visit other parishes to pray for others experiencing loss, and short spiritual retreats. Members will meet weekly on Monday nights from 6:30 to 8 p.m. in the basement of the Sacred Heart Evangelization Center (JP23 Room).
Discussion topics:
Addiction affects the entire family, and two CTK ministries are designed to help – Lazarus Journey and Friends of Lazarus.
Lazarus Journey provides support for the spiritual development of parishioners in recovery from a drug and/or alcohol addiction. Meanwhile, Friends of Lazarus provides support for spouses, family members, and other loved ones of individuals in recovery or suffering from a drug and/or alcohol addiction. These two groups are not substitutes for a 12-step program but are meant to complement the steps with Catholic-focused spiritual development.
Currently, members of Lazarus Journey and Friends of Lazarus meet together weekly on Thursday evenings in a confidential setting. To learn more about these ministries, including meeting times and location, please email the facilitators at: [email protected].
