On behalf of the community of the Parish of Christ The King, we congratulate you on your decision to give yourself to one another in Christian marriage. In the Gospels, Jesus tells us that the greatest commandment of the law is “to love God above all things and to love our neighbor as ourselves.” It is in Christian marriage that this good news of Jesus is made real.
Please contact Libby Elder in the parish office (918-584-4788 Ext. 225) to review open dates for your wedding or to connect you with the priest or deacon you would like to officiate.
Please make all arrangements with the priest or deacon you wish to officiate at your wedding at least six months prior to your wedding date. If it is your desire that the celebrant of your wedding be a priest or deacon who is not assigned to the Parish of Christ the King, then permission by the pastor must be granted prior to extending an invitation to the visiting celebrant.
Once you contact a priest or deacon assigned to the Parish of Christ the King, he will meet with you personally to confirm the date and time for the wedding ceremony and rehearsal. He will also work with you to begin your preparation program for marriage.
The wedding may take place in the Parish of Christ the King Church (seats approximately 450 people) or Mary, Queen of Peace Chapel (seats approximately 45 people).
When reserving the Church we require a security deposit (Non-Parishioner = $250, Parishioner = $150). Then the facility fee is due 30 days prior to your wedding date (Non-Parishioner = $1,000, Parishioner = $500) to include the organist, coordination of the rehearsal and coordination of the wedding. The security deposit will be returned to you within 30 days of your wedding date pending no damage to the facility.
