Whether you have lived in Tulsa your whole life or whether you have just moved to the area, we invite you to be a part of our growing Young Adult Ministry. CTK Young Adults are a community of young adults (age 21-35) who gather for social, spiritual, and service events. They host weekly and monthly events ranging from speaker series to Bible studies, community outings, casual hangouts, and service opportunities. This ministry is open to both single and married couples.
RUAH occurs one Sunday each month (typically the second Sunday of the month) in the Rother House from 6:00-8:30 p.m. Young adults come and enjoy a potluck meal*, and then stick around for an awesome evening of different forms of prayer!
Together, young adults sing hymns, pray with Scripture (Lectio Divina), and then move into charismatic prayer. Charismatic prayer includes intercessory prayer as a large group and as small groups, specifically asking for an outpouring of the Holy Spirit upon the YA community, CTK parish, and the Catholic Church as a whole.
Lastly, the evening concludes with night prayer in accordance with the Liturgy of the Hours. This is a great event if you are interested in meeting other young adults in the community and would like to learn how to pray in accordance with the traditions of the Church
These are open-invitation events, so invite others to attend with you!
*The main entree is provided. We encourage attendees to bring a side dish.
Good coffee and conversation in the Rother House after the 11:15 a.m. Mass every Sunday of the month except when there is a Ruah event (typically the second Sunday of the month).
CTKYA hosts retreats and special events throughout the year to provide opportunities for fellowship, learning and worshipping. Check our events calendar for their next special event.
